M5CAMS3/M5CAMS3 5MP Getting Started Guide

Plug-and-play network camera, supports real-time preview, scheduled cloud upload, and time-lapse photography with Micro SD card.

Preparation

  • Power the device.

  • Use the Grove2USB-C adapter board to power the device or for secondary development and programming. Follow the wiring sequence shown in the image below.

Uploading the Program

Note
This step is already done at the factory with pre-installed firmware. If you don't need to change the firmware, you can skip to the next step to explore the device's functions.
    1. Install the M5Burner firmware burning tool.

    Download the appropriate version of the M5Burner firmware burning tool based on your operating system. Unzip and open the application.

    1. Select the appropriate firmware for your needs, either UnitCamS3 or UnitCamS3 5MP.

    1. Click "download" to download the firmware.

    1. Select the corresponding device port and click "Start" to begin burning the firmware.

    1. Wait for the burning process to complete, and click "Burn successful, click here to return" to finish.

Configuring Wi-Fi

  • Each time the device starts, it will open the AP: UnitCamS3-WiFi. If no user connects within 10 seconds, the AP will shut down.

  • Connect to the AP and access the configuration page by visiting “192.168.4.1” in your browser.

  • You will see application functions such as Micro SD, Microphone Applications, and LED control as shown below.
